About jmount43

I was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on March 4, 1962. I guess that makes me old, but I certainly don't feel that way. I still play video games and listen to rock and roll music. I love movies, especially horror films. I have a beautiful wife who is my all time best friend. She supports me in everything I do. More importantly, she calls me out on my bullshit. This blog is dedicated to her for everything she's done for me.

Am I still allowed to vote?
    JK Rowling FTW!
I am trying to finish chapter two of Twilight since two or three days ago but I hardly make it! I always resisted the urge to peek the end of the story but I skipped Twilight until prologue and I still cannot read the whole book. So I am sorry Mrs.Meyer.

  2. Rowling – and not just because of the cleavage

  4. Rowling for sure! I remember standing in the bookstore and flipping through Twilight and I couldn’t stand it and just stopped. *shutters at the thought*

  5. craft fear says:

Rowling. She actually has imagination, diverse characters, the ability to create suspense, and a little bit of of actual darkness.

I admit I haven’t read more than a couple of pages of Twilight, but it made me want to cry. I also lost a bet and had to watch the first two movies and it ruined my life. I mean day.

    I mean life.

  6. Rowling by a mile. Her writing has a substance that Meyer could never understand. Besides, Meyer simply re-wrote the vampire diaries. I mean seriesouly, the similarity between the books is just frightening.

  7. tashtoo says:

I’ll pick Rowling for now…but I’m taking them both down ;) One day…I’ll be battling here!

  8. chyrondave says:

I didn’t know that Meyer was a CT native.

I’m still voting for Rowling, though.

  9. Rincewind says:

of course it will be JK. She just win this one or I will sulk :)

  10. I even like the Twilight series of books, but I agree that Stephanie Meyers’ writing can be sub-par. J.K. Rowling DEFINITELY gets my vote.

  11. J.K. Rowling hands down. Stephanie Meyer cannot write for crying out loud…just sayin’
