RON BURGUNDY WAS RIGHT
“I am in a glass case of emotion!!”-Ron Burgundy
That’s pretty much the way I’ve been feeling about Written in Blood lately. I know I said I was taking a break; but to be honest with you ( and myself ) I’ve actually felt like hanging it up for good. But every time I think that this will be the day I make quitting my final answer, I get some new notification that makes me change my mind. So, like any other (in)sane blogger out there, I weighed the pros against the cons to help me make a decision. Let’s begin with the pro’s:
1. I like writing. I think I’m pretty good at it and other people seem to think the same thing. My guinea pigs Alice and Annabel think I suck; but that’s only because I use a laptop to write and not real paper that they can chew on.
2. People seem to like what I write and they seem to like Written in Blood. There are three ways of looking at this. They like me and Written in Blood; they think I suck but they like Written in Blood; or they think Written in Blood sucks but they like me. You know, I may have included this pro because I like saying Written in Blood.
3. Other than re-blogging two of Alex Laybourne’s posts (hey Alex, I hope the check is in the mail nudge nudge wink wink), I haven’t posted anything new in over a week and yet I’m still getting a butt-load of page views and visitors. It’s kind of hard to quit when you’re doing so good when you’re not around.
Now for the cons:
1. I don’t always feel like writing. Oh, yippee, that’s a good one.
2. I don’t always have the time. That one’s a bit more plausible.
3.
No number three? Hmm, I guess that means the pros outweigh the cons. So I guess that means that I will continue writing this goofy blog. Hell, I changed my background and my header so no sense in quitting now. There will be changes, though. I’m not going to kill myself writing every day. I will blog on my days off and if I don’t feel like blogging then I’m not going to. Does that make me an asshole? I hope not.
Looking back at what I wrote I begin to see that this was more for my own benefit. Like they say in South Carolina, “Take care and stay scared, ya’ll.”

Shit oh dear it has been a long time since I bothered to visit you here. I apologize. I am starting (maybe),to get back into the swing of things i always enjoy your posts and I love your sense of humor. I would be sad to see you go, I like being able to rely on you for a laugh and info on movies I might otherwise never hear about. I love the new look of the site, pretty cool.
To be honest, I’m still struggling with what I want to do in regards to the blog. It helps that people seem to like it and all; but I’m still on the fence about what to do. I guess I’m sticking around, hopefully.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I have nominated you for “The Shine On Award”! Thank you for being such a support to me!

Well hey – glad to see you’re going to hang around. Blogging should be more of a hobby anyway, not a job. Now that I’m in town, I can actually see your posts. Hugs
Hugs right back at ya, Anna!
Wooohoo! I knew you would be back! Looking forward to it.
Yeah, now if facebook would stop effing with me I would be a happy camper.
Facebook can be a real pain in the ass! Hey, I sent you an email btw. Let me know if you got it.
ok
what address did you send to? I haven’t gotten anything yet.
jmount43@yahoo.com is where I sent it. Let me know if I need to resend! Thanks.
Looks like it. Nothing yet.
Just resent it
got it. replied to it.
Good to see you will be sticking around! The internet needs your humour and way with words
Thanks, Tyson
Yeah don’t throw in the towel! But write when YOU want to, not because you have to. That will eventually destroy your passion, and I love reading what you have to say!
Thank you, Zoe; that means a lot to me.
PS: loving the new site!
Thanks. The only thing I don’t like is that the header isn’t seamless with the background.
True, but you notice that more than others
Glad to see you’re not hanging it up, but hey, it’s just a blog, not a job, you don’t have to write every day if you don’t want to or have the time to. I don’t. Just do it when you have something you really want to get out there, not because you feel obligated to have some kind of regular posting schedule. This is supposed to be enjoyable!
You took the words right out of my mouth!!
Don’t worry, I washed my hands.
ROFLMAO!!
The check is on the way… but I think I forgot to sign it… and date it… and send it… oops
I’m sure as hellfire glad you are gonna stick around man.
Yeah, me too.
