SCREAM QUEEN OF THE MONTH-MAY, 2013-KATIE CASSIDY

Here we are with part three of our Scream Queen of the Month tribute to the demon ladies of the hit TV series Supernatural. March and April was the Dickensian story of “A Tale of Two Megs” as we featured blonde beauty Nicki Aycox and her raven-haired counterpart, the lovely Rachel Miner. For the merry, scary month of May we set our sights on the original Ruby as portrayed by the golden-haired lass herself, Katie Cassidy. Ruby first appeared to Sam and Dean Winchester (Jensen AcklesMy Bloody Valentine; Jared PadaleckiGilmore GirlsFriday the 13th) as a demonic ally in their battle against Lilith. We all know how that turned out, don’t we?

As for Katie Cassidy, she was born Katherine Evelyn Cassidy on November 25th, 1986 to parents David Cassidy (yes, that David Cassidy; Mr. Keith Partridge and teen heartthrob) and Sherry Williams. Katie made her film debut in the remake of When a Stranger Calls (2006). Another film, a remake of Revenge of the Nerds (2006), was her actual debut film; however the head of Fox Atomic, Peter Rice, was disappointed with completed scenes and canceled the project. Not one to look a gift remake in the mouth, Katie has appeared in Black Christmas (2006) and A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010). Other films and TV series work include Taken (2008), Click (2006), Harper’s Island (2009) and Melrose Place (2009-2010). Miss Cassidy is currently appearing as Laurel Lance in the hit CW series Arrow.

Welcome Katie Cassidy as the Written in Blood Scream Queen of the Month for May, 2013!
