FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE TRAILER PARK: THE FOREST

Synopsis: A supernatural thriller set in the legendary Aokigahara Forest at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. A young American woman, Sara, goes in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared. Despite everyone’s warnings to “stay on the path,” Sara enters the forest determined to discover the truth about her sister’s fate – only to be confronted by the angry and tormented souls of the dead that prey on anyone who wanders into the forest.

This is one that I literally stumbled upon and I’m quite happy to include it as part of Friday Night at the Trailer Park. I wondered how long it would be before someone made a horror film set in the Aokigahara Forest aka The Suicide Forest; a place like this is just rife for stories to be told.

The Forest stars Natalie Dormer, Taylor Kinney, Eoin Macken, and Yukiyoshi Ozawa. It is written by Nick Antosca, Sarah Cornwell, David S. Goyer and Ben Ketai and is directed by Jason Zada. It is set for theatrical release on January 8, 2016. Until then you can enjoy the trailer below.
