Synopsis: Dr. Emily Burns is being held captive in a room with no idea as to how she got there. Determined to escape and return to her daughter and husband, Emily uncovers clues in the room that help explain what she’s doing there. As Emily aims to solve the riddles, she begins to realize the room may not be what it seems.
Although it does look interesting I must admit that Riddle Room seems to go pretty deep into Saw territory with it’s ‘trapped in a room with no idea how you got there and all kinds of clues as to why you are there’ plot device. There are (probably) no cancer-stricken madmen, devious deathtraps or sinister puppets on tricycles; the similarity is still there. Who knows? Maybe Riddle Room will surprise us all and take off in a completely different direction.
Written and directed by Brian Binder, Riddle Room stars Erika Hoveland, Tiren Jhames, Marisa Ruby, Daniel Usaj, Peter Carey, and Ava Manson. Look for it in theaters on February 16th. Until then enjoy the trailer and poster below.
