    • I appreciate your honesty, Abbi. I’m getting to be a big fan of Mike Mahle’s art but hey, not everyone is. I’m glad you liked the Pi and Shaun ones and I always love hearing from you.

  1. Wow! Kinda got the Alphonse Muchas thing going on with the first one! The octopus grabbing the golden gate bridge made me chuckle. Oh, gross! Poor John McClane’s podiatrist… Not sure if there is a favourite or least favourite. But always a fun mixture.

  2. oh man, that Hateful 8 poster is super dope! I need to be on the look out for more alternative posters for my reviews. Any suggestions on where I could look? And do you usually find these things after movies have been released or is it possible to find them before they hit theaters? (Case in point, i totally woulda loved to use that Hateful Eight one. So so cool)

    • I need to put a reminder up that these posters are usually for sale, usually through the artist’s website. I find them in various places on the internet and present them to folks here. As for using alternative posters in your reviews I say that’s a great idea. It could be a way of saying that we’re all tired of the copy and paste hack jobs that Hollywood is passing off as movie posters. That’s part of why I created Alt-Postr-Monday. The other reason is I truly enjoy showing the posters off.

      • It’s a great feature man, I always look forward to seeing new editions. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for upcoming ones, the problem is I can never seem to find them until after I’ve posted my thoughts so i’ll try and stay on top of this part more consistently. Alternate posters are great

        • Actually the Zatanna one is not for a movie; not that I know of, at least. Last week I wrote that I would feature posters from other media i.e. music or books. The Pearl Jam poster by Ken Taylor from a previous post is an example. I’m glad you like the poster, Renxkyoko; I plan to feature more of Mike Mahle’s work in future posts.
