WRITTEN IN BLOOD SCREAM QUEEN OF THE MONTH-JUNE, 2016-ANYA TAYLOR-JOY

Anya Taylor-Joy

There is a sensuality and a beauty so intense to Anya Taylor-Joy that just gazing at her photograph makes me want to lick my computer screen. Did that sound weird? Don’t answer that; at this point I don’t care. I have tried and tried and tried again to think of something amazing to say about this woman and all I can come up with is “Oh my she is f*cking beautiful!” That is all that one should have to say about her. Yes, she has one horror film credit to her name; her brilliant and sensual performance in Robert Eggers’ terrifying debut The VVitch is the exact reason I wanted her as this months Scream Queen.

Born April 16, 1996 in Miami, Florida, Anya made her debut in 2014 in the action-comedy-fantasy Vampire Academy in an uncredited role. She starred in The VVitch in 2015 and has three films, Morgan, Barry (both 2016) and Split (2017 from M. Night Shyamalan) in post-production. She is filming Thoroughbred for a 2017 release and Huntsville has been announced.

Anya’s TV credits include the series Endeavour (2014) and Atlantis (2015) and the TV movie Viking Quest (also 2015). She also appeared in the video short Skrillex: Red Lips, again in 2015.

Please welcome the stunning Anya Taylor-Joy as the Written in Blood Scream Queen of the Month for June, 2016.

  1. Real strange with that one. First time I saw the trailer I thought it was Elle Fanning…heh. But yes, this girl is going to go far. Superb, naturalistic acting in The Witch. She looks like she could be a naughty elf, or some kind of forest nymph;)

  2. Loved her performance in The Witch. It’s still my best/favourite film of the year so far. Oo that picture is sexy 🙂 Hahah unlike the drabs and drapes of the puritan villager.
