Synopsis: YOU ARE NOT ALONE’ is a motion picture with two very different stories. At the forefront, this picture is about a college graduate, Natalie, reconnecting with friends and family as she visits her hometown over the Fourth of July. Over the first half of the film, She floats through the proceedings of the July 4th celebration her town is known for. The town is inundated with news about a dangerous sociopath who is in the midst of a spree killing and reportedly within the area. The second half of the picture is what happens when Natalie crosses paths with said killer.
Will the found footage genre of filmmaking be replaced by first-person or POV? There have been a couple of films out using that style and now comes You are Not Alone. I know I’m in the minority but for the most part I enjoyed the found-footage genre and am curious about this new style (although anyone who knows anything about porn knows that first-person or ‘POV’ (or ‘point-of-view’) has been a category for quite some time.
Directed by Derek Mungor and written by Mungor and Chris O’Brien, You are Not Alone stars Krista Dzialosynski, David O’Brien, Mary Mikva, Keenan Camp, Nikki Pierce, Eric Wood, Tony Rossi, Katie Johnston-Smith, and Dan Abbate. It’s set for VOD and DVD release on June 23. Check out their official Facebook page and enjoy the poster and trailer ↓.
