  1. Thank GOD! The Monday Poster post! I feel crazy seeing how life is so unchatty and old friends brain cells die while they’re staring at their smartphones. This being part of my week helps me to remember there is still regularity in the world.

Now, onto the five times I had to reload this page (are we congesting wordpress these days? I’m wondering. I see some bloggers lately where it’s just about photos with like, no theme, or anything, and not many words either).

So I know the lady isn’t technically meant to have blue skin for 007 but it’s still a mesmerizing touch. (Again… butt… hee hee hee). Jaws is looking really ferocious! Like he’s a zombie to top it all off. That art is grim! I don’t know High-Rise but I’ve got a fear of falling just looking at that, seriously! Love the artwork for Hannibal, that old style, and hip to vertical lines as well as the image of a library. I know it’s cluttered but it looks spacious and cozy to me. (If you saw my house you would know what I mean.)

And our Godzilla, busting up the city as per usual, but that skull is haunting. Happy Christmas for Catwoman. A little deranged but festive so we must smile. Alien Visions… ah! The lady there is not calm, I’m sure. Yikes…

And the beloved 2001. I was just thinking about that lately since it feels like the primates busting things up is what many of us have regressed to. Just rather empty-minded. However on my fifth and final load of this page Hal’s light was the first thing I saw and it gave me the creeps! Hal… staring at me all of a sudden. Yes, the machines… they are out to kill us. Anyway, the poster itself is amazing with the line up of sun, moon, Earth, floating spaceman (I’m guessing that’s Poole, yikes), the orange-red band around the key components such as the primate and the new life force.

Well, that’s my take. I hope ya’s enjoyed it. 🙂

  2. Great set this week! I’m shocked (shocked, I say!) that the famous Bullitt Mustang isn’t the proper green color from the film, as it would have popped off the poster even better. I’d forgotten Frazetta did a poster variant for FDTD, so thanks for running that image.
