Born in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada Jessica Cameron has been in so many horror films since beginning her career with the horror short Solitude of Love in 2008 that she has earned the nickname “The Sultana of Splat”. At the risk of carpal tunnel I will list her feature-length appearances throughout her career.

Making her feature length debut in 2010 with The Dead Matter, she kept busy that year with Mr. Hush and Resurrection (aka American Resurrection). 2011 saw her no less resting with Death of the DeadDeadly Dares: Truth or Dare Part IVHell-O-Ween, the TV movie Camel Spiders, the horror comedy fantasy Potpourri and The Family; not to mention starring in 9 episodes of the TV series The Funny Man.

Where were we? Oh yeah, here comes 2012 and The SleeperThe Black Dahlia Haunting and Silent Night. 2013 brought Truth or Dare (directed by Jessica), 13/13/13, To Jennifer, the action-adventure-horror hybrid Post Mortem, America 2021 and 1 episode of Barry Morgan, Horror Geek.

It’s 2014 and we have Virginia Obscura, the action-horror-thriller Run Like Hell and the action horror comedy A Grim Becoming. Are we almost done? Okay! Okay! Stop with the whip!! 2015 gave us The Evil Gene, All Through the HouseSave Yourself and Mania, of which she directed but did not star

Jessica is in pre-production with Solitary Confinement 2 and post-production with Utero, The Legend of Grassman, Desolation, The Listing, Adam K and An Ending , which she will also direct. She is filming Red Eye and Solitary Confinement for a 2017 release and has been announced for The Drifter (rumored) and Shadow.

WHAT DO WE REALLY KNOW ABOUT JESSICA?

She was nominated for her first award in April 2010. She was nominated for Best Rising B Movie Actress.

She got the chance to work with a director that she has been a fan of, Jeff Burr in April 2010 on the set of the feature film Resurrection.

She worked as a waitress through University and got to use her training in the feature film Resurrection, in which her character (Lenore) works at a diner as a waitress.

She got to realize one of her greatest fears in the Sci-Fi channel movie Camel Spiders. She has been afraid of spiders her entire life.
