FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE TRAILER PARK: ARRIVAL

Synopsis:  When mysterious spacecraft touch down across the globe, an elite team – led by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) – is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life and quite possibly humanity.

I always thought that Deep Impact was the smarter person’s version of Armageddon; judging from the trailer it appears that Arrival may be the intelligent answer to Independence Day. Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners, Sicario) and starring Amy Adams, Forrest Whitaker and Jeremy Renner and written by Eric Heisserer from a short story by Ted Chiang, Arrival arrives in theaters on November 11, 2016. Check out the international trailer and a poster ↓.
