  1. That one for Butch Cassidy and Sundance is spectacular. It’s so life-like and then the black and white brings in the ghost town effect, various layerings of characters and activity. Creature From The Black Lagoon is fantastic with the green and what feels like a pastel chalk work. Also get that wavy look at the creature beneath the water and not above. Hellboy asserts the grim darkness with the red and black, as well as simplicity. Kubo moves us away from the pastel feel and into that classic Japanese artwork feeling. Ah! Then with One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest we’re got the caricature action, which works wonderfully with the likeness of Jack Nicholson! Smoothness in the artwork for The Thing. (I approve of the action going on!) Seriously twisted with Silent Hill! That takes me to some of the more gruesome hidden object mystery game artwork. Simply disturbing!

The Neon Demon is super incredible with the broken glass going jagged around that difference we’re seeing with the lady’s eye and what beast lays within! The bird on The Prestige poster is extremely soft and almost a nature greeting card, but then that trickle of blood call off all bets!

  2. Nice set this week. Funny things: The Oz art made me think of The Green Goblin riding his bat-thing on an old Spider-Man cover, and that Cuckoo’s Nest piece fired up a brief debate on comic art used to represent certain classic films. I don’t care for that poster much, but the other people here called it “ugly”, which got me springing to its defense, lol.
