Synopsis: In THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE, two coroners – a father and son – receive a mysterious homicide victim with no apparent cause of death. As they attempt to identify the beautiful young “Jane Doe,” they discover increasingly bizarre clues that hold the key to her terrifying secrets.
The trailer for this one is kind of stingy with what it reveals and I personally think that’s a good thing. I chose it for this week for two reasons: the strength of its lead actors, Emile Hirsch and Brian Cox; and the fact that it is Trollhunter director André Øvredal’s first English language film. Also starring Ophelia Lovibond, The Autopsy of Jane Doe is written by Ian B. Goldberg and Richard Naing. Look for it in theaters and VOD on December 20th. Until then check out the poster and trailer↓.
