ALT-POSTR-MONDAY FOR DECEMBER 19, 2016

Two things:

  1. I want to apologize for what I feel is a lack of diversity in this week’s set of posters. To be honest pickings were slim and I admit I am getting a little burned out. I’ve been doing this post well over a year now.
  2. For those of you who follow my Scream Queen of the Month post I am sorry to say that the December Scream Queen, Kristen Bell, will be my last. I’ve been doing the SQotM ever since I began in 2010 and again I have gotten burned out. If you want view beautiful girls, although they may or may not be scream queens, then check out Rincewind and Grumpy Old Farts blogs; you will not be disappointed.

  1. To continue enjoying your blog, you have to go back in time. It is difficult to choose a photo as preferred. All have their special touch that makes them unique.

  2. Well I think this is a another great line up and will put my vote in for King Kong. All things come to an end and you couldn’t ask to end of better high note than that photo of Kristen Bell.

  3. The Buffy one is great and so are the Rogue One posters. Also digging King Kong and The Lord of the Rings. Nice finds this week.

On the burn out side of things, totally get that. I’ve been feeling it as well. Maybe it is just the end of the year causing it. You might be able to lose the stress by just doing one poster or a top three. That might help. Ten seems like a lot of work each week. Maybe we could collaborate. I could post a few and vice versa – kind of share the stress each Monday and give each others blogs a plug.

    • I appreciate that but I believe I am going to be okay with ten for now. I’m still doing away with the Scream Queen of the Month. Will I bring it back at another time; who knows? I started this blog in 2010 and never dreamed I would be around this long or that anyone would even give a damn.

  4. Can understand your feelings and hell yeah if you are just feeling it’s a chore then by oh means, do something you enjoy more… We who follow you would feel it in yr posts. And thx for the link.. much appreciated Btw love Being John M here.. awesome.

    • I was also actually getting burned out on the posters, too. Not because I don’t like them but because it gets hard sometimes to find truly good ones to present. Hopefully that will change and I can keep going with it.

  5. I’m up for a little less variance, but I know what you mean. So with the first poster, that’s good just to see the Alien Queen. Extremely detailed even to seeing those extra arms of what use we have little idea. Oh dear! “Being John Malkovich”! That makes a good impression of the film with the marionettes, the stage and the obvious long haired shadow of someone else behind him. “King Kong” is wonderfully old school in that height of the building and the spot light going upward. Trippy with “Rogue One” and the ghoulish green, as well as the red. Very attractive in the true sense of the word. The next one for the same film is very intriguing as I never thought of storm troopers in water. There is something H.G. Wells in this scene.

I am DIGGING that LOTR poster, just from the dark, Gothic style and dragons all about. Then we get the exact opposite with “Ren & Stimpy”! Wow, that is a shift to the cartoony. Nice and colourful! AH! “They Live”! I often feel like I’m in that movie these days. All these people you *thought* were human… Great with the black and white and rising from the water. Peace of mind is brought to the fold with “Where The Wild Things Are” and that secluded spot. The bramble is welcoming with those tiny flowers. Thanks for the trip! (P.S. I’m lucky to have gotten to this. The wifi went down this morning and I thought it might be a week before we got it back.)
