Synonsis: The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

I’m sure by now most people have seen the trailer for the upcoming Alien: Covenant. Did anyone think that was going to stop me from featuring it here on Friday Night at the Trailer Park? I’ve been a fan of the Alien franchise for as long as there has been an Alien franchise so you know damn good and well I’m going to feature the new trailer.

Alien: Covenant is directed by Ridley Scott from a screenplay by John Logan and story by Michael Green and Jack Paglan. The film stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Billy Crudup, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Nathaniel Dean, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby, James Franco, and Noomi Rapace. Look for it theaters May 19, 2017 and until then enjoy the trailer and poster ↓.

  1. Is this a sequel to the awful Prometheus. It looks nothing like it if it is. Looks good though. Finally, maybe, another good Alien movie is upon us.

    • According to On November 27, 2015, Ridley Scott announced that this will be the second (following Prometheus (2012)) in a new Alien Trilogy which will take place closer to and lead up to the original film.

So yes, it is both a sequel to Prometheus (which I didn’t think was so much awful as it was bloody confusing) and a sort of prequel to the first Alien film.
